Our 6 Unit townhouse complex recently replaced our flat roof and we were fortunate to encounter Shane Cooper. The project had some complexities - skylight replacement, logistical limitations to getting garbage down from roof, installation of a slope package, extensive metal work and siding issues. Shane Cooper provided a competitive quote and maintained a hands on approach throughout the project. What distinguishes him is his professionalism, responsiveness, knowledge and solid problem-solving skills. Shane visited the job site on multiple occasions to oversee progress and inspect the work. He stopped in to provide me with updates, answer questions and explain next steps. He was always candid, well-informed and pleasant. The project was completed on budget. Shane Cooper is an effective and proactive leader who takes personal pride in delivering a job well done!
City of Vancouver Details:
The Fairview area is the central section of Vancouver stretching from Granville Island to False Creek to Science World and to South Shaughnessy. In the 1860’s this area was logged of its enormous trees but it wasn’t until the 1890‘s that the area became developed and the BC Electric Company constructed a railway system. With the area opened up with the Granville and Cambie streetcars running along Broadway and known as the Fairview Loop it wasn’t long before residential neighbourhoods sprang up.
This neighbourhood is a shopping mecca with South Granville Street offering upscale retail, popular restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and coffee bars. There is also Broadway Street with its many rental units, the Vancouver General Hospital and many big box stores, and then the Cambie corridor with Canada Line offers upscale shopping, and Granville Island which is home to the Public Market with fresh produce, art galleries and the Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
